Supporting Education and Training

Our Story

Born in Columbus, Indiana, Betty Jean Woodaman dreamed of becoming a nurse. Financial hardships nearly derailed her aspirations, but a scholarship from a local church changed her life. After graduating, she dedicated nearly 40 years to mental health. In her honor, the Betty Jean Woodaman Scholarship Fund was established to support individuals pursuing careers in mental health and addiction.

Our Impact

Since 2015, the fund has awarded scholarships to 10 dedicated individuals in mental health and addiction fields, including master's and doctoral candidates. This support enables students to work while studying, enhancing their professional skills and community impact.
