The Corporation is taking a holistic approach to tackling the homelessness epidemic of Los Angeles. By leveraging innovation, modern technology, and pragmatic solutions, the Corporation will address prevention, sanitation, services, shelter and housing in an effort to assist those on the precipice of homelessness and those already experiencing homelessness. The Corporation's multi-tiered approach to tackling the homelessness epidemic begins with preventing low-income individuals at imminent risk of eviction from being forced into homelessness. The Corporation will leverage microfinance techniques to provide Short Term Eviction Protection (STEP) for these individuals and will provide loans at zero interest and zero expense to the borrower.
