Our Story
The Bethesda Community Base Ball Club was founded in 1998 by Bruce Adams and John Ourisman to create a summer collegiate baseball team and enhance local baseball fields for children. Inspired by a summer league game, the organization aims to foster community engagement through the love of baseball. The club has successfully built Shirley Povich Field and is dedicated to creating a living baseball history museum honoring legends like Walter Johnson and Shirley Povich.
Impact
Since its inception, BCBBC has contributed over $600,000 to improve baseball and softball fields for children in the community, showcasing a strong commitment to youth sports and community development.
