Our Story

In 2010, food activist Michelle Lerach was inspired by her time on a Sonoma County goat farm. This experience ignited a passion for creating a vibrant food community in San Diego, similar to what she witnessed in Northern California. In 2015, the Berry Good Food Foundation was established as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit to support the long-term goals of the original Berry Good Night dinner series. The foundation's mission is to advance a healthy, integrated food system by educating, connecting, and supporting food producers and consumers.

Our Impact

Berry Good Food Foundation empowers the San Diego and Baja California communities by fostering connections between farmers, chefs, scientists, and citizens. This collaborative approach challenges the industrial food system and advocates for access to healthy food for all.
