About Berkeley Buddhist Vihara

Established in 2002, Berkeley Buddhist Vihara serves as a vital religious non-profit organization for the Sri Lankan Buddhist community in the greater Bay Area. With property generously donated by Dr. Kusum Perera and Dr. Amara Samarakkody, the Vihara is guided by experienced monks from the Sri Lankan Theravada tradition.
