Our Story

The Benedictine Health Foundation was established in 1977 to support Benedictine Hospital and community health services in Ulster County, New York. Continuing the legacy of the Benedictine Sisters, who began providing healthcare in 1901, the Foundation focuses on essential services such as cancer care, behavioral health, and spiritual care.

Impact

With over $700,000 provided to more than 1,600 local cancer patients through the Rosemary D. Gruner Memorial Cancer Fund, the Foundation offers vital financial assistance, including gift cards for food and fuel during treatment.
