Our Story

The Benedictine Sisters of Mt. Angel, founded in 1882 by Mother Bernardine Wachter, OSB, have dedicated over 140 years to serving the people of Oregon. Initially settling in Gervais, the Sisters moved to Mt. Angel, where they established a legacy of education, healthcare, and spiritual support.
