Our Story

The Bellevue Botanical Garden’s history is a testament to civic dedication and visionary thinking. Established in 1984, the Bellevue Botanical Garden Society transformed a 7.5-acre property into a vibrant botanical garden, which opened to the public in June 1992. Today, it serves over 400,000 visitors annually, becoming a major center for gardening and horticultural activity.

Impact

Recognized as one of the best botanical gardens in the nation, the Bellevue Botanical Garden has significantly impacted the community. In 2022-2023, the Adult and Youth Education Programs served over 4,600 individuals, fostering a love for gardening and environmental stewardship.
