Our Story

Behavioral Health Resources (BHR) has been a cornerstone of behavioral health services in Thurston County since 1956. Born from a grassroots movement, BHR was established to support youth facing poverty, abuse, and neglect. Originally known as the Thurston County Child Guidance Center, it has evolved to meet the diverse needs of the community, adopting its current name in 1994.

Impact

Each year, BHR serves over 10,000 clients, providing vital behavioral health and substance use disorder services across multiple counties. The organization has adapted to changing community needs, ensuring that individuals and families receive the support they require.
