Beerthoven began in 2014 as an auxiliary of the Austin Saengerrunde, merging a passion for German music and beer. By 2015, the organization expanded its reach by joining the Austin Creative Alliance and diversifying its programming to include non-Germanic music. Certified as a Nonprofit Corporation in Texas in 2020, Beerthoven is dedicated to fostering a love for classical music in the community.
Over ten seasons, Beerthoven has cultivated a diverse following, producing 18 events for over 1,500 patrons in the 2023-2024 season. The organization is committed to providing culturally and financially accessible musical experiences.
