Our Story
Beaumont Main Street, a project of Beaumont Urban Improvement Leadership for Downtown Inc, has been dedicated to the restoration and revitalization of Beaumont’s historic Central Business District since the early 1970s. Originally founded as the Central City Development Corporation, it became BUILD, Inc. in 1985 and was designated a Main Street city in 1991 by the Texas Historical Commission.
Impact
Over the past thirty years, more than $275 million has been invested in downtown Beaumont, leading to the restoration of over 50 buildings and significant public improvements.
