Our Story
In 2012, Colleen Costigan traveled to Kenya to help administer a public health survey in a slum community, where she witnessed the struggles of vulnerable children. In 2016, she partnered with Olive Songok, a trained Kenyan social worker, to advocate for these children's rights. Together, they founded BEAM Kenya to provide education and psychosocial support, aiming to break the cycle of poverty for children in Kenya.
Our Impact
Currently, BEAM Kenya supports academic scholarships for 85 children and provides mental health services for over 3,000 children and their families, promoting empowerment and sustainable living.
