Beacon Christian Community Health Center

Our Story

Beacon Christian Community Health Center was founded in 2003 by a dedicated group of community members in Mariners Harbor, Staten Island, to address the critical lack of medical care in the area. Dr. David Kim left his private practice to help establish this vital health center, which serves the only Medically Underserved Area (MUA) on Staten Island. Since welcoming its first patient in 2006, the center has grown to serve over 6,000 patients annually, embodying its mission to 'love our neighbors.'

Impact

In the past year, Beacon Christian Community Health Center has treated over 6,000 adults and children during more than 22,500 visits, significantly enhancing healthcare access in a medically underserved area.
