Founded in 2002 by Gary and Melissa Trujillo, the Be A Leader Foundation has dedicated itself to empowering underserved youth in Arizona. With a mission to increase the number of students prepared for and succeeding in higher education, the foundation provides essential tools, leadership skills, and consistent support. The journey began with a vision to change educational aspirations, leading to the establishment of the Roosevelt Community Technology Center in 1996, where mentoring young students became a priority.

Making a Lasting Impact

Since its inception, the Be A Leader Foundation has positively impacted thousands of students, instilling a college-going mentality and providing scholarships and mentorship. In 2006, structured leadership programming was introduced for eighth graders, expanding the foundation's reach to students from seventh grade through college.
