Our Story

Founded over 40 years ago, Baypath Humane Society of Hopkinton emerged from a community-driven effort to rescue stray animals. Initially, stray dogs faced dire fates, but local citizens and the Hopkinton Board of Selectmen united to create a shelter. With volunteer labor and generous donations, a safe haven for animals was established, evolving into a leader in humane treatment and adoption.

Impact on the Community

In 2023, Baypath facilitated 370 dog adoptions and 495 cat adoptions, fostering 481 animals. With over 13,285 hours of volunteer service dedicated to animal-assisted activities, the organization significantly enhances the local animal community.
