Our Story

The Bayit Association was founded in 2021 by dedicated parents of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). This organization is committed to addressing the housing crisis in Northern New Jersey's Orthodox Jewish communities, ensuring that individuals with IDD have a safe and supportive place to call home.

Impact

With the goal of providing secure living arrangements, the Bayit Association has already purchased two homes in Teaneck. The first home is set to open in Fall 2024, directly addressing the urgent housing needs of approximately 100 families in the area.
