Founded in 1999 by dedicated social workers and therapists in Long Beach, California, Bayfront Youth and Family Services emerged to fill a critical gap in behavioral treatment for adolescents. Initially known as H.V. Group Home, the organization was established to provide a structured residential facility for youth aged 11 to 18 who struggled to find adequate care in existing community facilities.
Since 2016, Bayfront has served over 1,400 families, successfully transitioning more than 100 families from county services to natural supports. With 241 students receiving mental health services and 107 referrals from the Department of Mental Health, the organization continues to make a significant difference in the lives of youth and their families.
