Our Story
Over thirty years ago, park visionary William Penn Mott, Jr. dreamed of a continuous park around the Bay Area, leading to the formation of the Bay Area Ridge Trail Council in 1987. This organization has dedicated over 400 miles of trail, connecting parks and open spaces for future generations.
