Our Story

Founded in 1975 by a dedicated group of women in Richmond, the Bay Area Girls Club (BAGC) was created to provide a safe and supportive environment for girls. Initially established through community efforts like spaghetti dinners and bake sales, the Richmond Girls Club quickly became a cherished organization. In 1985, it became affiliated with Girls Inc. and was known as Girls Inc. of West Contra Costa County until 2020, when it rebranded to BAGC to expand its services and programs.

Impact

BAGC empowers girls aged 5-18 in West Contra Costa County, focusing on educational, vocational, emotional, and social growth.
