Our Story

Founded in March 2010, the Bay Area Early Childhood Educators Association (BAECE) emerged from a community service learning initiative led by De Anza College students under the guidance of Dr. Li Wei Sun. This nonprofit organization is dedicated to enhancing the quality of early childhood education in the Bay Area, California. BAECE provides professional development workshops, age-appropriate activities for young children, and support for childcare program licensing, with many services offered free to the public.

Our Impact

BAECE is committed to promoting high-quality early education and care for children and families in the Bay Area. By assisting childcare workers with their California Child Development Permit applications and offering research-based professional development, BAECE empowers educators, caregivers, and parents to foster a nurturing environment for young children.
