Our Story

The Bay Area Crisis Nursery was founded in 1981 by Sister Ann Weltz, inspired by her experience in Tucson, Arizona. This grassroots organization provides parents with the time they need to care for themselves, ultimately enabling them to better care for their children. BACN is dedicated to preventing child abuse and neglect by offering supportive services to families in crisis, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children.
