Discover the Wonders of the Universe
The Battle Point Astronomical Association (BPAA) was founded in 1992 with a vision to preserve and repurpose the historic Helix Building into the Ritchie Observatory. This remarkable facility houses the 27-inch Ritchie Telescope, the largest publicly accessible telescope in the Pacific Northwest. Through the dedication of volunteers and community support, the observatory has become a hub for astronomical exploration and education.
Impacting Lives Through Astronomy
BPAA provides invaluable opportunities for children, students, and adults to engage with the cosmos. With hands-on experiences in astronomy and space exploration, the community can discover the wonders of the universe while fostering a love for science and technology.
