Our Story

The Battle of Rhode Island Association (BoRIA) was established to commemorate the pivotal Battle of Rhode Island, fought on August 29, 1778. This organization is dedicated to preserving the history of this battle and honoring the contributions of the 1st Rhode Island Regiment, particularly the significant role played by African American soldiers during the Revolutionary War.

Our Impact

BoRIA has successfully organized community clean-up events at historical sites like Butts Hill Fort, engaged local volunteers, and provided educational resources about the Battle of Rhode Island.
