Our Story

The Battle of Flowers Association, founded in 1891 by a dedicated group of women in San Antonio, Texas, honors the heroes of the Alamo and the Battle of San Jacinto. This all-women, all-volunteer organization has grown into one of the oldest and largest parades in the country, celebrating Texas history and preserving patriotic traditions.

Impact

For over a century, the Battle of Flowers Association has successfully organized the Battle of Flowers Parade, fostering community spirit and celebrating Texas history. The organization also provides scholarships through its Oratorical Contest, making it a significant cultural event in San Antonio.
