About Battered Women’s Justice Project

The Battered Women’s Justice Project (BWJP) began in 1993 as part of the Duluth Domestic Abuse Intervention Project. It has grown into a national legal resource center dedicated to addressing gender-based violence and enhancing survivor safety.

In the past year, BWJP has trained over 12,000 individuals and provided more than 1,000 referrals, significantly improving legal responses to gender-based violence.
