Basenji Rescue and Transport Inc (BRAT) is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming Basenjis in need. Founded in 1999, this all-volunteer organization works tirelessly to save dogs from shelters, abusive situations, and relinquishing owners. With a focus on providing comprehensive veterinary care, each Basenji receives spaying or neutering, vaccinations, heartworm testing, and DNA testing for health issues like Fanconi syndrome.
