Our Story

Barrier Island Preservation Alliance (BIPA) was established on March 17, 2021, as a nonprofit organization dedicated to advocating for the residents of Isle of Palms. Initially focused on a single purpose, BIPA evolved in January 2022 to represent the interests of all residents, including both primary and second homeowners. With a commitment to education, advocacy, and communication, BIPA aims to engage with other barrier island communities to find collective solutions to pressing issues.

Impact

In 2024, BIPA plans to host educational meetings and participate in the SC Beach Advocates Meeting, fostering community engagement and informed decision-making.
