Our Story

Barren River Area Safe Space, Inc. was founded in 1980 to provide safety and support for victims of domestic violence. Over the years, it has evolved into a vital resource for the BRADD region, operating a 30-bed shelter and offering comprehensive programs to empower survivors.

Impact

Last year, BRASS, Inc. sheltered 406 victims of domestic violence and served nearly 3,000 individuals through outreach and advocacy programs, making it one of the largest shelters in Kentucky.
