Barren Heights

Our Story

Barren Heights was founded in 2004 by Joe and Toni Rose after a life-changing car accident led them to discover their purpose. They purchased 30 acres of farmland to create a welcoming community for families with children who have disabilities, driven by a mission of love and acceptance.

Impact

Since its inception, Barren Heights has hosted over 300 family retreats, positively impacting more than 1,800 families and 7,000 individuals across 25 states. The focus is on individual life transformation and fostering a supportive community.
