Our Story

Barnstable Land Trust was established in 1983 to combat the rapid development threatening Cape Cod's natural beauty. Over the years, it has successfully protected more than 1,250 acres of land, advocating for public funding to preserve over 10,000 acres. Collaborating with local leaders, the Trust has safeguarded vital ecosystems, including Barnstable’s Great Marsh, ensuring these precious lands are preserved for future generations.
