Our Story

Since its founding in 2002, the Class of 1979 Scholarship has awarded nearly one million dollars to support academically accomplished Barnesville community students who possess the aspiration and intellectual curiosity to attend one of our nation’s highest quality colleges or universities. The Scholarship is supported by Barnesville Scholarship Fund, Inc. (BSF).

The enduring goals of this scholarship program are to promote respect for learning, provide resources for exceptional students, encourage high personal goals, stimulate community support, and inspire scholarship recipients to give back to their community.
