Founded in 1902, Barlow Respiratory Hospital has over 120 years of service dedicated to providing specialized post-ICU care for ventilator-dependent patients. As the only not-for-profit long-term care hospital in California, Barlow focuses on individualized care for medically complex patients, aiming to achieve the best possible outcomes for recovery and discharge to lower levels of care.

Barlow Respiratory Hospital is recognized for its high success rates in weaning patients from mechanical ventilation, consistently weaning over 50% of patients each year, allowing them to return home sooner and improve their quality of life.
