Our Story

Baptist International Evangelistic Ministries (BIEM) was founded in 1981 by Dr. Peter Slobodian, a dedicated Ukrainian missionary. Initially focused on evangelism through missionary radio, BIEM transitioned to church planting after the Soviet Union collapsed in 1991. Since then, over 100 churches have been established, and more than 300 pastors have been trained across Ukraine, Russia, Romania, and Moldova, showcasing a commitment to tangible acts of service that reflect the love of Christ.
