In June 1998, Dr. Bill Causey initiated a committee to address the pressing needs of intellectually disabled adults in Mississippi. This effort led to the establishment of Baptist Homes, Inc. and the creation of SON Valley. Opened in 2007, SON Valley was built on an 80-acre tract of land with the support of the Mississippi Baptist Convention and generous donations, providing a nurturing home for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
SON Valley currently houses 20 residents, offering a safe and supportive living environment that meets their physical, spiritual, mental, vocational, and recreational needs.
