Our Story

Ballin For The Lord (BFTL) was founded in September 1990 by Robert Bozart, inspired by the tragic loss of his nephew, Ernest Bozart, to gang violence. Recognizing the need for positive engagement, Robert combined basketball fundamentals with spiritual growth, creating a nurturing environment for youth in underserved areas of Los Angeles County. Over the past 32 years, BFTL has transformed the lives of thousands of boys and girls, fostering personal development through teamwork and competition.

With a remarkable 95% college attendance rate, BFTL not only promotes athletic skills but also encourages higher education, ensuring that participants continue to thrive beyond high school.
