Our Story
The Bainbridge Public Library has a rich history dating back to 1863, evolving from a small library above a mill store into a vital community resource. Supported by the Kitsap Regional Library since 1947, it has undergone significant expansions, including a major remodeling effort in the 1990s. The library features a beautiful Japanese garden, donated by the Bainbridge Island Japanese American Community, reflecting its commitment to cultural heritage and community involvement.
