Our Story
The BackPack Weekend Food Program is dedicated to providing healthy, non-perishable meals to students in Gaston County Schools. This initiative ensures that children have food to eat on weekends when they do not have access to school meals.
Impact
Since its inception, BWFP has distributed over 1.9 million meals, impacting the lives of 883 students in grades K-12 during the 2022-2023 school year.
