Our Story

Back to Basics Inc was founded in 1984 by Beverly Perham, who, with just $500, provided clothing and toys to 30 children arriving from Haiti. This act of kindness revealed a pressing need in the local community: many children lacked basic necessities. Recognizing the importance of equipping school children with essential items, Beverly launched the Angel Program, which supplies new sneakers, socks, underwear, and holiday gifts to children in need. In 2001, the Uniform Program was initiated to ensure that children could attend school with dignity by providing them with new school uniforms.
