Our Story

Back The Blue NC Inc. was founded in July 2020 by a former law enforcement detective who recognized the urgent need to support North Carolina's officers during the 'Defund the Police' movement. What began as a Facebook group quickly transformed into a dedicated nonprofit organization, focusing on honoring and assisting law enforcement officers and their families, particularly those affected by line-of-duty deaths. The mission intensified following the tragic loss of Deputy Ryan Hendrix in September 2020.

Impact

Back The Blue NC Inc. has provided over $1,500,000 to the children and families of North Carolina's fallen officers, with 95% of funds allocated directly to programs, all powered by volunteer efforts.
