Our Story

Back Mountain Regional Fire and EMS was established in 2013 through the merger of Dallas Fire & Ambulance, Lehman Township Volunteer Fire Department, and Shavertown Volunteer Fire Company. This regional collaboration enables the provision of premier fire and ambulance services to Dallas and surrounding Back Mountain municipalities, serving a population of 30,000 across a 61-mile area. Responding to approximately 3,500 emergencies annually from three strategically located stations, the department boasts a team of highly qualified Paramedics and EMTs, available 24/7.

Impact

The Back Mountain Regional Fire & EMS conducts an annual fund drive to support its operations, including the maintenance of fire stations, firefighting gear, vehicles, and medical supplies. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, donations are tax-deductible and empower over 40 dedicated volunteers to carry out their life-saving mission.
