Awakening Recovery

Our Story

Awakening Recovery emerged from over 35 years of collective experience in recovery homes in Los Angeles. In 2015, a dedicated group came together to create a nonprofit solution that transformed their lives. In July 2016, the Men’s House opened its doors, addressing the urgent need for recovery support. The success of this initiative led to the launch of the Women’s House in February 2023, allowing approximately 70 individuals annually to embark on their journey toward sustainable recovery.

Impact

Since its inception, Awakening Recovery has positively impacted over 200 residents. In 2023 alone, 32 men and 38 women received vital addiction recovery support. Remarkably, over 70% of graduates have maintained sobriety post-graduation, with more than 80% achieving over a year of continuous sobriety.
