Our Story

For over 25 years, Avodah has inspired Jewish leaders to commit to social change, promoting a vision of Jewish life rooted in justice. Starting in 1998 with nine young volunteers in New York City, Avodah has expanded to cities like Chicago, New Orleans, and Washington D.C., training over 1,500 young Jewish leaders in social justice work.

Impact

Avodah has cultivated a community of over 1,500 alumni actively engaged in social justice, with 92% working in social services, social justice, or anti-poverty initiatives since completing their programs.
