Aviation Heritage Park
EIN: 20-2189926 · Bowling Green, KY
Our Story
Aviation Heritage Park and Museum was inspired by Brigadier General Dan Cherry and his friends after a visit to the National Museum of the United States Air Force. This vision led to the creation of a park in Bowling Green, KY, dedicated to honoring the contributions of local aviators, particularly following Cherry's emotional reunion with the F-4 Phantom he flew in Vietnam.
Impact
The park serves as a memorial to South Central Kentucky aviators, showcasing their stories through aircraft displays and museum exhibits. It is free to the public, providing educational opportunities and honoring the legacy of local heroes.
