Since its founding in 1992, Avalon Housing has transformed the lives of thousands by providing stable, supportive housing for individuals experiencing homelessness. The organization emerged from a community-driven campaign to prioritize housing over parking in Ann Arbor, leading to the establishment of a model that is now recognized nationally as a best practice in supportive housing. Named after the mythic island of healing, Avalon embodies a commitment to creating a community where individuals can rebuild their lives.
