Autistry Studios

Our Story

Founded by Janet Lawson and Daniel Swearingen, Autistry Studios emerged from a personal need for better services for their son, Ian, who is autistic. Starting in 2008 with just four students in a backyard studio, the organization has grown significantly, combining Janet's expertise as a licensed family therapist with Dan's background in astrophysics and software engineering. Today, Autistry Studios offers a variety of workshops and vocational training programs tailored to the interests of autistic and neurodivergent individuals.
