Our Story

Founded in April 2003, Autism Tree Project was born from the personal journey of a family navigating the challenges of autism after their son Garret was diagnosed. This grassroots foundation aims to raise community awareness about autism and provide support to families affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder. By fostering compassion and understanding, Autism Tree Project strives to give a voice to individuals on the autism spectrum and their families, creating a united front in San Diego and beyond.

Impact

With the help of dedicated volunteers and interns, Autism Tree Project runs over 20 community programs and hosts more than 200 events each year. These initiatives assist thousands of families in creating a roadmap for their children, helping them navigate the complex care systems required for individuals with autism.
