Our Story

Austin Voices for Education and Youth was founded in July 2003 by Amy Averett, merging two local initiatives aimed at enhancing educational opportunities for Austin's youth. Over the years, AVEY has established a strong reputation for fostering collaborations between youth and adults, leading community engagement efforts, and implementing impactful educational programs.

Impact

Serving over 6,800 families annually through Family Resource Centers, Austin Voices significantly reduces student mobility and enhances academic performance in schools like Webb Middle School and Northeast Early College High School.
