Founded in 2000 by a dedicated group of community leaders, the Aurora Women and Girls Foundation is committed to uplifting women and girls in the Greater Hartford region. Recognizing the success of women and girls' funds across the country, founders Leah Bailey Moon, Felice Gray-Kemp, Eileen Kraus, Paddi LeShane, and Marie O’Brien established the foundation to build bridges and address the unique challenges faced by women and girls in the community.
Since 2004, the Aurora Foundation has distributed over $760,000 in grants, positively impacting thousands of women and girls in our region.
