Founded in 1981, the Aurora Area Interfaith Food Pantry emerged from a community effort to combat hunger during an economic downturn. Local churches and community leaders united to create a larger pantry, which has now become one of the largest in northern Illinois. Each year, the pantry distributes 3.6 million pounds of food to those in need, striving to end local hunger and ensure access to nourishing food.
With a commitment to improving community health, the Aurora Food Pantry serves 24,000 unique individuals annually, providing essential nutrition and support.
