Our Story

Augustana Arts began its journey in 1997 as a program of Augustana Lutheran Church, driven by a passion for exceptional classical music. Recognizing a community need for diverse musical experiences, it has grown into a respected nonprofit organization. In 2002, the Music Encounters program was launched to provide music education to underprivileged children in Metro Denver, ensuring that the joy of music is accessible to all.

Impact

With a commitment to inclusivity, Augustana Arts offers high-quality musical experiences through its concert series and educational programs. Over 75% of students in the Music Encounters program receive free lessons, and more than 50% of concert attendees enjoy performances at no cost, thanks to the Pay-What-You-Choose ticketing model.
